And Then There Were 3

Well, it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks since my daughter was born. She's gotten to meet a lot of her family as everybody's been in town to celebrate with Heather and I. We've had a fantastic time and our family has been a lot of help as we've adjusted to parenthood. Tonight, though, everybody's gone - and I'm a little excited about our first evening at home together as a family - just the three of us. "The three of us" - those words are enough to bring me to my knees before God. I'm honestly not sure which is more amazing and staggering - that nearly three years ago two became one or that nearly two weeks ago two became three. Romans 11:33-36 seeems very appropriate...

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor? Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
